Overall review of Click and Grow Smart Garden 3 I absolutely love this device. Growing my own fresh herbs was a treat. Plus the fact this garden is so low maintenance makes it so easy. There's enough water to care for the garden for weeks, and the lighting self timer keeps my plants growing regularly and evenly.

How long do click and grow plants last?

The pods can be stored for about one year after purchase when kept in dark and dry conditions at a normal room temperature (up to 26 °C / 78 °F) - this also applies for packs that have already been opened. Therefore, feel free to stock up on different plants for long-term use!

Does Click and Grow use a lot of electricity?

According to Click & Grow, the built-in LED requires just 6 watts of energy. With it running for 16 hours per day, the Smart Herb Garden should add roughly $4 to $5 per year to your electricity bill. That isn't much, but the unit isn't exactly cheap to begin with.

Can you put regular soil in click and grow?

The answer is yes, you could. Gardening is all about experimenting. Bear in mind, though, that using other types of soil may not lead to the best results!

Can I plant anything on Click and grow?

While there is a huge variety of herbs available in the Click & Grow pods, you can also grow pretty much any seed variety when you use the Experimental Grow anything pods. I love the flexibility these pods offer since I like to experiment with different herb varieties and try out new flavors.

Can I replant my click and grow plants?

The plants are supposed to live in the unit until their natural life cycle ends. However, if you wish, you can transplant them to a bigger pot and grow the plants like a regular gardener - add enriched soil mix and remember to water them. You will also need to remove all the plastic around it.

Is the AeroGarden better than the click and grow?

AeroGardens use about 2-3x more power than Click & Grow gardens, but they include brighter plant lights and an internal water pump. Prices for refill plant pod packages are similar, with Click & Grow pods tending to be cheaper at the regular price while AeroGarden pods are more often on sale for a discount.

There are no pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, plant hormones or any other type of poisons used. And we don't need to - a well watered and fed plant with perfect growing conditions can defend itself without any outside help. But we do use additional minerals to feed the plant.

How often to refill click and grow?

The water tank lasts for about 2-3 weeks, depending on the plants but you can definitely fill up the tank sooner if necessary.

How long do the lights last in a click and grow?

All of our products work on 100-240v. This includes the tabletop units and Wall Farms as well. Our gardens use LED lights that are very long lasting - if used every day, the bulb should last for 7 years.

Can you reuse click and grow pods?

Such pods (as you described) are totally reusable. If the tomato pods are already planted (they will sprout in no time) there is no need to dry those faulty pods. Just leave them in the garden until needed. If the new pods don't produce that much seedlings as needed, just use some of your own seeds.

Can I use click and grow without pods?
